Riverplace is situated on one of Upington's wine estates, yet it lies only three minutes from the Upington town center.

This exclusive guesthouse offers luxury accommodation with individually-styled en-suite rooms which will meet a guest's every need. Our staff are friendly and always make every effort to please. With eight units we offer self catering rooms as well as double rooms with coffee / tea facilities. All our rooms have microwaves and bar fridges. Riverplace, a gem of the Green Kalahari, offers its guests an unforgettable stay.

Canoeing

Our canoe allows you to retreat into nature. Listen to birdsong as you watch fish jump up to greet you. Explore the little island inlets which lie like a jigsaw in the river water, very close to Riverplace. Launch from our jetty and find yourself in a peaceful world of your own.

Birdwatching

Twitchers you are in for a treat! Upington and its surrounds offer a variety of birds of which 20 raptor species are present. Bring your binoculars, relax on our lawns by the river and tick off every new species you see. Fishing

Bring your own fishing tackle or we’ll supply you with some. Sit on the banks of the Orange River, at our lawn’s end, and dream away until a fish bites. You may be lucky enough to catch your own supper!

Braaiing / Barbequing Facilities

Imagine a sunset over water; evening sounds; the gentle rustle of reeds in the river; the glow of a coal fire and the aroma of meat on a barbeque. Add an excellent bottle of wine. Riverplace offers top notch barbeque facilities. We’ll also source all the provisions you need. Our local meat and wine are renowned. Make sure you try some.
